The City of Reidsville operates under a Council-Manager form of government. While the City Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of the City, the Reidsville City Council establishes the policies for the City of Reidsville and its residents. The City Council is composed of seven members serving four-year terms. The Mayor is an at-large seat and a voting member. In addition to two other at-large positions, there are also two District A seats and two District B seats.
The most recent Reidsville City Council Election for the the four District seats was held in November of 2025, which led to the re-election of Mayor Donald L. Gorham and At-Large Members Harry L. Brown and Terresia Scoble. Brown serves as Mayor Pro Tem. The next election of Council will be in November of 2027 for the four District seats.
