City Council
The City of Reidsville operates under a Council-Manager form of government. While the City Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of the City, the Reidsville City Council establishes the policies for the City of Reidsville and its residents. The City Council is composed of seven members serving four-year terms. The Mayor is an at-large seat and a voting member. In addition to two other at-large positions, there are also two District A seats and two District B seats.

The most recent Reidsville City Council Election for the the four District seats was held on November 7, 2023. The swearing-in of the newly-elected Council members Shannon Coates, Barbara DeJournette, William Hairston and William Martin was held on Tuesday, December 10, 2023 at RCARE.

This organizational meeting, which will include the swearing in ceremony for the new Mayor and Council members, will be held in the dining room, followed by a reception in the gymnasium in order to allow for social distancing. Annual Council Retreat:
The Reidsville City Council will hold its annual Council Retreat Friday-Saturday, January 29-30, 2021. Hours are 8 a.m. until approximately 12 noon each day or until business is concluded. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Mayor and Council members will be Zooming in for the two half-day sessions. City Hall will be closed to the public, but citizens may watch the Retreat on the City of Reidsville's YouTube Channel or listen in via the telephone numbers provided on the attached Meeting Notice. Please call 336-349-1030 if you have any questions about the Retreat prior to January 29th.
