City Hall

Reidsville City Hall, located at 230 W. Morehead Street, houses Administration, Planning & Community Development, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology and Marketing & Economic Development, including the Main Street Program. 

Administration includes the City Manager's Office and the City Clerk's Office, located on the first floor of City Hall. The City Clerk is assisted by the Deputy City Clerk.

The City Manager is aided by three Assistant Managers:

  • The Assistant City Manager of Administration/Finance Director oversees Finance, Human Resources and Information Technology.

  • The Assistant City Manager of Community Services oversees Planning & Community Development and Parks & Recreation (Lake Hunt, Lake Reidsville, Senior Center, Teen Center).

  • The Assistant City Manager of Public Safety/Fire Chief oversees both the Fire Department and the Inspections/Engineering Division.

The City's Finance Department operates on the first floor of City Hall. Citizens can pay their water bills either online or at City Hall by entering the front door closest to Main Street.

A customer service window is located at the back of the building, which is also handicapped accessible. Those needing planning, zoning and inspection services are encouraged to use the customer service window for assistance.

The Marketing and Economic Development Department (Penn House, Market Square, Main Street Program, the Reidsville Downtown Corporation and Marketing) is located on the second floor of City Hall. The Main Street Coordinator handles rental of downtown's Market Square and that office is on the second floor of City Hall. The Penn House/Carriage House is located at 324 Maple Street.

The Police Department is located at 220 W. Morehead Street next door to City Hall. The Fire Department operates three Fire Stations in the City, including the headquarters on Scales Street. Public Works and Parks & Recreation operate out of their own facilities throughout the City.
