The Inspections Department follows the North Carolina State Building Codes as adopted by the North Carolina Building Code Council and published through the Department of Insurance, Office of State Fire Marshal. These codes set the minimum safety and construction standards for all building, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical work in our community. We provide links to current and past editions so residents, contractors, and design professionals can easily find the information they need.
